About Me
My name is Preston, and my short term goals for this 3 week stage is to gain hands on, and real world experiences that strengthens both my creative and professional skills. I want to better understand how design projects move from a startup idea to final delivery, improve my work efficiency, and learn how to communicate better with clients. Over the summer, I aim to build a stronger portfolio by working on diverse projects, refining my branding and layout abilities, and developing more confidence in presenting my ideas. These experiences will help prepare me for eventually working independently as a freelance designer.
In the next 5 to 10 years, I see myself working as an independent freelance designer with a strong personal brand and a steady client base. My goal is to build a reputation for thoughtful, strategic design, especially in branding and visual identity. I would like to collaborate with small businesses, startups, and creative entrepreneurs, helping them communicate their vision clearly and professionally. Over time, I hope to grow into a specialist in branding and layout design while possibly expanding into a small creative studio of my own. I value flexibility, creative control, and direct client relationships, which is why entrepreneurship appeals to me. At the same time, I remain open to partnerships and larger collaborative opportunities that challenge me creatively and allow me to continue learning and evolving as a designer.
